Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS40 and DMC-FS45
Panasonic introduces the DMC-FS45 with 16.1 megapixels and the DMC-FS40 with 14.1 megapixels. The design of this camera is slimmer and more compact than before.
The LEICA DC VARIO-Summarit lens with 24mm ultra-wide angle and 5x optical zoom (equivalent to 24-120 mm on a 35mm camera) and a brightness of F2.5 is designed for the compact lens unit and provides an even thinner body. The lens is its wide viewing angle is not only perfect for creating dynamic scenes, due to its exceptional brightness also able to capture moving subjects even in low light, such as indoors or at night. The Zoom iA (Intelligent Zoom) function enlarges the 5x optical zoom to 10x, the Intelligent Resolution Technology ensures that very little is lost in image quality. The Sonic Speed AF and fast startup to ensure super fast response. This allows the camera to even the most unexpected picture moments are recorded.
FS45720p DMC-HD video can be recorded in MP4 (FS45) or Motion JPEG (FS40). The DMC-FS451 allows you to zoom while taking video recordings.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS40 and DMC-FS45 prices and availability
The DMC-FS40 will be available in February 2012 in black, silver, pink, yellow and blue. The DMC-FS45 is from March 2012 in black, silver, champagne, red and violet. Prices are currently unknown.
