Panasonic DMC-SZ7 and DMC-SZ1 Review
Panasonic announces the new compact digital cameras in the Lumix Zoom SZ Series: DMC-SZ7 with Full HD video recording and a MOS sensor 14.1 megapixels and the DMC-SZ1 with HD video recording and a CCD sensor of 16.1 megapixels.
Both models feature Leica DC VARIO-ELMAR lens with 25mm wide angle and ultra-powerful 10x optical zoom (equivalent to 25-250 mm on a 35mm camera) fits into the slim, compact body. The Zoom iA (Intelligent Zoom) function enlarges the 10x optical zoom to 20x, the Intelligent Resolution Technology ensures that the picture quality as well as preserved. The MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) provides effective suppression of blur caused by hand shake which usually occurs when shooting that far zoomed.
The DMC-SZ7 is equipped with the new 14.1-megapixel MOS sensor and advanced image processing Venus Engine. This enables high speed and high sensitivity 1920 x 1080 Full HD video and capture pictures in quick succession in a high beeldkwaliteit1. The super fast response time, as a Light Speed AF of about 0.1 seconds, allows even the most spontaneous moments can be defined 2.
The cameras also feature a series of new special effects that make shooting more fun: 3D fotomodus3, Miniature Effect, Panorama Shot, Auto Retouch and Creative Retouch3.

The 3.0-inch large Intelligent LCD screen provides all conditions for a clear picture because the backlight adjusts itself automatically. Both the DMC and the DMC-SZ7 SZ1 can save through a standard AC adapter also be charged via a USB connection. Users will also enjoy the LUMIX Image Uploader, which images can be instantly shared via Facebook or YouTube using a PC.

The DMC-SZ7 is from March 2012 available in black, white and brown. The DMC-SZ1 is also expected in March and comes in black, silver, blue, red and violet. Prices are not yet known.
