Apple iPod Nano Review

Apple iPod Nano Mini-miss

The new iPad Nano small touch screen is conceptually one of Apple’s rare failures. The smooth interface that characterizes the iPod, is unchanged. But the high price, the tiny multitouch screen and the missing support for video makes the sixth generation iPod Nano a bad deal for music lovers.

The new iPod Nano resembles the iPod Shuffle with a screen. The device is as light as a feather, making it easy to lose. Fortunately, Apple has a clip on the back.

On top you’ll find a power button and volume, while at the bottom of the USB cable and headset must be connected. Compared to the previous Nano’s screen, which also fills the entire front, downgraded from 2.2 inch to 1.5 inch.

There is no built-in microphone, the only option to record voice messages has approved the purchase of Apple headphones with microphone. You get a standard sync cable and earphones included.

Although the new interface has no IOS (iPhone / iPod Touch / IPAD), we find the icon-based system to work intuitively. There is no accelerometer, but you can touch the screen with a finger tip, so the screen is not upside down. Symbols are themselves from place to change, but they replace or remove as you can with an iPod Touch, is not an option.

The Nike fitness app, pedo meter and the built-in FM tuner give us some feel that we are not robbed.

A bit clumsy
The multitouch screen is as alert as that of the iPhone, but the handy finger commands are absent. Thus, the pinch to zoom in on pictures is not possible on the tiny screen and you can not even zoom in on pictures with the 16:9 format are taken. There are nine backgrounds to choose from, but use your own pictures this is not possible.

Cover Flow also was killed in the mini player. Ironically, precisely because they view such benefits from multitouch. Nevertheless, the album art fills the entire screen with the controls appear on top. Therefore, finding an artist or album as easy as before.

Sound will always sound better when the bad earphones Apple exchange for another model that better in your ears will sit. The FM radio still has the ability to fifteen minutes to record live radio station when you pause, then he goes back up where you left off. You can also move a finger to an unlimited number of presets set.

It makes your headset as a antenna. The signal is strong enough, then you get the name of the station and song information on screen.

Apple estimates the battery life on a full day a good achievement for a player with touch screen that size. Yet we constantly feel that the new generation of iPod Nano takes away a lot and give little in its place.

We prefer to think back fondly to his predecessor than this glorified iPod Shuffle seriously.
